Windows 7 x64 Ultimate I installed the driver software and it appeared to go fine. All of the configuration options are there. I can create serial ports. The Treo sees the PC but says it cannot connect. The PC does not see the Palm. Both the PC and the Palm see my Bluetooth headsets.

The instructions for using the Palm Hot Synch Manager via Bluetooth is to select it as a connection but Bluetooth does not show up in the connection list. It works flawlessly! Like so many others, I love my Palm Pilot and have used one since With Windows OS constantly updating, I keep worrying that I will eventually have to give it up, but alas, your website helped me continue to use it.

I love that I don't have all of my private info and passwords in my phone or in the cloud. This week I loaded windows 10 64 bit and tried to install my palm pilot with no success.

I did all that you said in this post, but then I couldn't get my palm information to show in the Palm Desktop. After some research, I found the link to this website to provide a "patch" for legacy Palm Pilots Tungsten C. Then all of the data showed up in my Desktop again. When most of the other Palm OS vendors dropped out of the market, Palm rewrote their PIM applications and came out with a new internal architecture that was not fully compatible with Palm OS applications written for the earlier generation devices.

We refer to the older devices as Legacy devices. Here is a list of specific devices which fall into each category: Legacy Devices: any device running OS4 or earlier, any non-Palm brand handheld Sony, Garmin, etc. This procedure has worked perfectly with my Palm Zire 22 which is legacy model from the past. I thought I would never get the data transferred but it has worked perfectly with Windows Thanks so much In very special when I am visiting Industrial customers in the countryside, and also want to use my old, I know!

I will do the same procedure to my notebooks Windows My very best regards! Marcos Luiz S. I found the Bluetooth settings stuff through sheer desperate bullheaded flailing around. Thank you Mr. Zimmerman for this great Blog. I did everything on the Treo support site to set up my PowerBook to sync up, through Bluetooth.

I had not been able to sync my to my PowerBook using Bluetooth until I read your article. The instructions that came with the Treo to do this were simply useless. Nothing worked and I spent hours trying, eventually giving up on Bluetooth and forced into using the Treo sync cable.

Having my other SonyEricssons sync up to my PowerBook with no problem using Bluetooth, I couldn't stand having to keep that Treo sync cable around and having to use it every time I had to sync my new Treo This is great. Thanks again. I didn't even try using the Palm software I bought the Missing Sync right away and have never looked back :. I've had it with the clumsiness of using this Treo with my Powerbook. I'm tired of its short battery life and strange behavior. Weary of it's tiny buttons which require me to re-type my voicemail password three times until I can get it right and of carrying a small brick around in my pocket.

I'm going back to Sony-Ericsson. Just ordered the Ki. You can keep your Treo And when you do you can think about how it is a perfect example of how having thousands of features makes for a phone with watered down quality.

I sync my powerbook G4 to a treo via bluetooth all of the time. The solution that worked for me was the third party package "missing sync. If you click on it, you need to select "Serial" from the pull down tab, and a speed, which I left at "as fast as possible". Then on the Treo within HotSynch there is a pulldown tab under the synch icon, and the name of your computer should appear for mine it said "unnamed computer". Sharp Tools Weapons, words, and code - all means of changing reality.

All, however, are sharp tools in that not only can they turn in your hands, but they'll do exactly what you tell them to - even if that's not what you meant.

Will this method also work for the Palm ??? Posted by: K at September 25, AM. Posted by: Ollivier at December 13, AM. Any idea? Thanks so much. Posted by: sck at July 28, PM.
