Akamai does not update existing cipher profiles once enabled, except in the case of security incidents. Please contact Akamai Technical Support for the detailed inquiry of each cipher availability. If you need to select this profile, or have more specific needs around selecting individual cipher suites, please reach out to your account team or Akamai Customer Support.
The ak-akamaiq1 profile, which suports TLSv1. Customers are encouraged to review their certificate settings, and update to the latest cipher profile whenever possible. The ak-akamaiq3 , and ak-akamai-defaultq3 cipher profiles can be used with all TLS versions, including TLS 1. Cipher suites are listed below in the order they will be presented to connecting clients.
If a client presents the ChaChaPoly cipher at the top of its preferred list, Akamai will move it to the top of the server-presented list, regardless of what is described below. You seem to think otherwise. Why am I reminded of that old Apple Fanboi insult "Microserf"? Since I don't see all this port access on windows xp, vista and 7 nor on my linux boxes and they work a lot better than Windows 10 on laptops older than 15yrs, then I don't buy Akamai is improving things.
Everytime Microsoft release a new OS it take about 2 service packs to fix what engineers and managers should have caught before the release. I have moved to Mac at work and I am gradually moving to Linux at home. If I could move back my current laptop to windows 7 I would.
But it came with windows 8. My browsers is not faster and downloading a 30Mg file now takes 10min. I personally don't like when I don't have option to disable things.
I put some of the ip addresses in my firewall and windows stopped working.
