Remove the panel from its backplate place face down on a cushioned surface. The Express needs removal of the internal cover. Identify the two left hand jumper pins marked DEF and fit a jumper across them. Restore the battery power - this will reset the control panel. Remove the battery power, and remove the link from the DEF jumper. Refit the panel and restore the mains and battery power.
Q I cannot access the installer menu. Visonic have failed to mention in the installation manual that the user code default has to be entered before the installer code can be entered. Code is working as user code, but does not work to access the installer mode. I found the following reset method on the internet: Remove the mains power to the control panel.
Open the control panel and disconnect the battery. Identify the 3 pins marked DEF. Fit a jumper across the D and E pins. Apply battery power to the panel for approximately 10 seconds. What I was trying to understand is if there is a way either using the key fob or installer code to reset the user code?
If not, i know I will have to spen the money and get this sorted. I don't know this panel unfortunately, but usually the master code is needed, to change codes, prog.
